Mike Baker

During a career spanning over fifteen years as a covert field operations officer for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Mike Bake specialized in counterterrorism, counternarcotics and counterinsurgency operations. He engaged in, organized and supervised operations around the globe, working in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the former Soviet Union and elsewhere. He was recognized professionally for outstanding performance and for operational achievements in hostile environments.

In December 2000, after leaving government service, Mr. Baker co-founded Diligence with the goal of building the premier intelligence and risk management firm. As a principal partner over the years he has worked to grow the company as it expanded around the globe, opening offices in London, New York, Washington, Moscow, Brussels and Geneva. He also worked to establish the company’s security operations in Iraq in 2003, as Diligence built a team of over 300 expat and local personnel involved in security and information collection. Based in New York City, Mr. Baker now oversees the company’s operations and growth throughout the Americas.

Mr. Baker is a regular contributor in the national and international media on intelligence, security and counterterrorism issues. He appears regularly on Fox News, as well as other major media outlets.

Bruce Frumerman is President of Frumerman & Nemeth Inc., a communications and sales marketing consultancy that helps financial services firms create brand identities for their organizations and develop and implement effective marketing strategies and programs. His firm’s work has helped money management clients attract over $7 billion in new assets, yet they are not third-party marketers. Mr. Frumerman has thirty years' experience in helping money management firm clients to educate and persuade people to understand and buy into how they invest. His clients include hedge funds, institutional money management firms, funds of funds, mutual funds, SMA money managers, private equity investment firms and financial planning firms serving the high net worth market. Mr. Frumerman is a frequent speaker at various events and also has been published addressing the subject for HedgeWorld, Canadian Hedgewatch, Emerging Manager Focus, Investor Relations Newsletter and Hedge Connection. Rachel Minard

Ms. Rachel S.L. Minard was most recently Partner, Executive Managing Director with Optima Fund Management, opening and running the firm's San Francisco office. Her responsibilities included building and managing the global institutional business and raising assets for the firm across all channels globally. Ms. Minard was also a member of the Investment Policy Committee and Chairman's Committee.

Ms. Minard has 20 years of institutional investment experience including the past 10 years building fund of hedge fund firms, notably her roles as Partner and Director of Global Marketing for Corbin Capital Partners (a firm she renamed) and Director of Marketing at Cadogan Management. Before Cadogan, Rachel was Vice President and Consultant Advisor for J.P. Morgan Investment Management and served as Director of Business Development for Dakin Partners, opening and managing their New York office. Earlier, Ms. Minard served as Assistant to the Director of Marketing and Client Service for Pareto Partners. Named "Non-Profit Marketer of the Year" (FEMM), Honored Member, Cambridge's Who's Who Among Executives (2005-2010) and a featured speaker on CNBC and global industry conferences, Ms. Minard started her marketing career in 1991 after her marketing company was hired to build the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

Ms. Minard holds a B.A. degree in Journalism with honors from Northeastern University with notable distinction as a Wesley W. Marple Distinguished Lecturer (2009) and Profiles in Leadership: Business Luminaries (2006-2011) by the university. A graduate of the AIMSE/Wharton Institute, Ms. Minard serves on the PAICR Advisory Board, The World Pension Forum and the Investment Management Institute (IMI). Ms. Minard also serves on the Executive Board and is a Founding Member of the Association of Women in Alternative Investing (AWAI) and sits on the Investment Sub-Committee of the Westover School Endowment. Ms. Minard is finishing her first book, Speaking in Thumbs: The Handbook of Empathy through XENIA MEDIA Publishing.

Don Steinbrugge

Don Steinbrugge is Chairman of Agecroft Partners, a global consulting and third party marketing firm for hedge funds. Agecroft currently has 6 hedge fund clients whose organizations average over $1.5 billion in assets under management. Agecroft was selected by 2 separate organizations as the top 3rd party marketing firm for 2009.

Highlighting Mr. Steinbrugge’s 26 years of experience in the investment management industry is having been the head of sales for both one of the world’s largest hedge fund organizations and institutional investment management firms. Mr. Steinbrugge was a founding principal of Andor Capital Management, which was formed when he and a number of his associates spun out of Pequot Capital Management. At Andor he was Head of Sales, Marketing, and Client Service and was a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. When he left Andor, the firm ranked as the 2nd largest hedge fund firm in the world. Previous to Pequot, Mr. Steinbrugge was a Managing Director and Head of Institutional Sales for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. At that time Merrill ranked as the 3rd largest investment manager in the world. Mr. Steinbrugge joined Merrill Lynch through the acquisition of Hotchkis and Wiley where he headed up sales and marketing. Previously, Mr. Steinbrugge was Head of Institutional Sales for NationsBank (now Bank of America Capital Management). Don began his career in 1984 with The Travelers.

Mr. Steinbrugge is also a member of the Investment Committees for The City of Richmond Retirement System, Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens Endowment Fund, The Science Museum of Virginia Endowment Fund and The Richmond Sports Backers Scholarship Fund. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of The Richmond Ballet (The State Ballet of Virginia), and the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business.

Lisa Vioni

Lisa Vioni is a 20-year veteran of the capital markets with extensive experience in hedge fund strategies, institutional sales and marketing alternative investments.

From 1990 until 1998, she was on the sell side, rising to Senior Vice President in Mortgage Backed Securities-Institutional Sales at Lehman Brothers Securities. Ms. Vioni got her start in the hedge fund industry in 1998 as Director of Marketing with Singleterry & Company and then Ellington Management Group (a $1 Billion plus mortgage backed securities firm). At both firms, Ms. Vioni oversaw all aspects of client relationships including raising money, organizing small company conferences, developing marketing materials and client servicing. Ms. Vioni is founder and president of Hedge Connection, the web based investor-intro website business that she launched in 2005, and founder of Leebug.com, which she began building in 2007 as a web based social networking site for professionals attending conferences. Hedge Connection’s platform has been instrumental in assisting several funds to raise significant assets.

Ms. Vioni has also produced three Broadway shows including Long Day’s Journey Into Night for which she won a Tony Award. She is a Series 7 registered representative of Ancora Securities, Inc. She earned a B.A. in French Studies from Smith College.

Gary Watkins

Founding Partner

Gary Watkins is a founding partner of ACA and is located in the Richmond office. His primary responsibilities include conducting mock inspections of investment advisers and hedge funds. Mr. Watkins also assists ACA clients in responding to SEC deficiency letters, reviewing best execution and trading practices, preparing advertisements that comply with the federal securities laws and developing customized policies and procedures. In addition, he has liaised with the SEC on behalf of his clients during regulatory inspections. Mr. Watkins developed his inspection background as a state securities regulator with the Virginia State Corporation Commission's Division of Securities. While employed with the state of Virginia, Mr. Watkins was responsible for conducting on-site investment adviser compliance examinations and investigations. Gary participated in several conferences sponsored by the National White Collar Crime Unit, NASAA, NASD, and SEC. He also conducted many investigations on alleged violations of the Virginia Securities Act and participated in criminal investigations with local law enforcement agencies.

Victor L. Zimmermann

Victor Zimmermann is a partner in the Investment Management group. He has experience representing broker-dealers, banks and investment advisers in day-to-day regulatory matters, in acquisitions and in regulatory proceedings before the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other federal and state regulatory bodies. He also represents sponsors, managers, investors, consultants and fund administrators involved with domestic and offshore hedge funds.

Mr. Zimmermann is a frequent speaker at conferences relating to hedge funds and other investment partnerships and is regularly published in journals in the financial services industry. Mr. Zimmermann was formerly with the Enforcement Division of the SEC in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Zimmermann received his undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross and his juris doctor from Fordham University School of Law in 1977.
