Sharath Sury

S4 Capital, LLC
|
As chief executive of S4 Capital, a multifamily office investment supervisor, Sharath Sury advises some of the nation's wealthiest family groups and private organizations. He is also an adjunct professor of finance at DePaul University's College of Commerce, where he teaches investment theory and portfolio management.
S4 Capital was ranked the #1 US wealth manager in 2006 by Wealth Manager Magazine, a "Top 10" financial advisor in 2006 by Financial Advisor Magazine and the #2 ranked US wealth manager in 2005 by Bloomberg Wealth Manager Survey.
Prior to forming S4, Sury was a vice president at Goldman, Sachs & Co, where he advised a niche group of ultra-wealthy clients representing several billion dollars in investment assets spanning equities, fixed income and alternative investments. During his tenure, he also taught several classes of incoming financial analysts on topics ranging from portfolio analysis to financial accounting. He previously served in special advisory capacities for both federal and local government agencies, and also held technical and quantitative-oriented positions with IBM, Lockheed Missiles & Space Co and MCC Research & Development consortium.
Sury received his undergraduate degree in economics (high honors) from the University of California, where he also held teaching assistantships in macroeconomic theory and statistical analysis. He received an MBA (high honors) in finance and statistics from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business. In 2003, he was featured in Crain's Chicago Business "40 Under 40: Chicago's Rising Stars" for his professional accomplishments. |
