John Burbank, founder and chief investment officer at Passport Capital, talked last week with Bloomberg Television’s Margaret Brennan about Fed policy, the role resource scarcity (specifically oil) plays in his investment strategy and his outlook for the U.S. economy. I interviewed Burbank in 2008 about Passport Capital’s success. He and the firm had just won a Lipper hedge fund award. Burbank is known in part for seeing the subprime mortgage crisis coming.
